Use of the Certificate

A Certificate of Registration is awarded to an organization which has been assessed as satisfactorily meeting the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, HACCP, ISO 22000, ISO 27001, ISO 50001, and ISO 21001 management system standards.

The use of the Certificate of Registration is subject to the following Conditions:

1

The Certificate of Registration remains the property of Certification International Philippines, Inc. (CIP).

2

The Certificate of Registration is valid from the date of issue until its expiration, suspension, or withdrawal by CIP for justified reasons.

3

Misuse of the Certificate of Registration in any way, or misleading use of the certification in publications, may lead to suspension or revocation of the certification.

4

Copies of the Certificate of Registration may be reproduced for the purpose of advising customers of the organization's certification. All reproductions must be clearly marked as "COPY".

5

If an organization decides to terminate its certification, it shall immediately notify CIP in writing and return the Certificate of Registration. The use of the Certificate of Registration and CI Certification Mark, and any claims associated with the certification, shall cease immediately upon termination.

Breach of these Conditions may result in the withdrawal of the Certificate of Registration by CIP.

CIP reserves the right to revise these Conditions and shall provide appropriate notice to all certified organizations of any such changes.

Use of the Certification Mark

The Certification International (CI) Mark is a symbol indicating that an organization has been assessed as satisfactorily meeting the requirements of the management system standard(s) identified therein.

The certified organization shall be entitled to use the CI Certification Mark, as appropriate, in accordance with these Conditions:

1

The CI Certification Mark shall always be used in conjunction with the certified organization's name. It shall not be used in a manner that it could be mistakenly or confusingly identified as the corporate logo or trademark of the certified organization.

2

The standalone CI Certification Mark may be used on corporate stationery (e.g. letterheads, envelopes, invoices, business cards); corporate publications; corporate email signatures; sales documentation; marketing materials (e.g. advertisements, posters, brochures, stickers); website (must refer to the organization and not directly to its products or services); exhibition banners; corporate flags, vehicles, and buildings; and only in connection with the certified organization's certified scope.

When used on business cards or in corporate email signatures, the CI Certification Mark must be positioned away from the employee's name to avoid any implication of personal certification. Only employees whose work falls within the certified scope may refer to the certification.

3

When the CI Certification Mark is used in conjunction with the PAB MSA Accreditation Symbol, the certified organization must first obtain written approval from CIP. Its use is strictly limited to the following applications: letterheads, envelopes, business cards, and email signatures. This is an explicit requirement of the Philippine Accreditation Bureau (PAB).

4

The CI Certification Mark, with or without the PAB MSA Accreditation Symbol, shall not under any circumstances be used directly on or be closely associated with products, product packaging, test or calibration reports, laboratory reports, inspection reports, certificates, and diplomas. The CI Certification Mark is associated with a management system standard and does not constitute a product certification mark.

5

The CI Certification Mark shall not be modified in any way, including its text, shape, colors, proportion, or content.

6

The CI Certification Mark is distinct from the CI corporate logo and shall not be used interchangeably. The CI corporate logo is not a Certification Mark and therefore must not be used by certified organizations. Only the official version of the CI Certification Mark provided by CIP may be reproduced.

7

The right to use the CI Certification Mark is exclusive to the certified organization, particularly to the address/es and scope of certification identified in the Certificate of Registration. This right is non-transferable, and does not extend to sites/locations and activities outside the certified scope.

8

The certified organization shall use the CI Certification Mark in accordance with these Conditions at all times and shall immediately discontinue its use upon instruction from CIP if found to be non-compliant. The CI Certification Mark is an intellectual property of CIP.

9

Upon expiration, suspension, withdrawal, or termination of the certification, the certified organization shall immediately cease all use of the CI Certification Mark, with or without the PAB MSA Accreditation Symbol.

10

Local laws on consumer protection and intellectual property are applicable.

PAB MSA Accreditation Symbol

The PAB MSA Accreditation Symbol is the property of the Philippine Accreditation Bureau (PAB). Its use by organizations with management systems certified by CIP shall be governed by applicable PAB guidelines and accreditation requirements.

1

It shall always be displayed in conjunction with the CI Certification Mark, provided that the issued Certificate of Registration bears the PAB MSA Accreditation Symbol. It is not permitted to be used independently.

2

Its use is strictly limited to activities within the accredited scopes granted to CIP by PAB, and to applications explicitly specified by PAB.

3

It shall not be modified in any way, including its text, shape, colors, proportion, or content.

4

It shall not be used in any manner that implies endorsement or approval by PAB of the certified organization's products, services, or management system(s).

Main Graphic Elements

The CI Certification Mark is composed of integral elements that shall always appear together and shall not be separated:

  • the Certification International logo
  • the applicable management system standard(s) to which the organization is certified
