ISO 37001 - ANTI-BRIBERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

About ISO 37001

ISO 37001 is the international standard that specifies the requirements for an Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS). The ABMS provides organizations a management framework to pursue their anti-bribery objectives, policies and procedures and thus help meet their requirements for due diligence, financial and non-financial controls, training programs, and monitoring, reporting and continual improvement actions.

Although the standard does not specifically address fraud, cartels and other anti-trust or anti-competition offences, money laundering or other activities related to corrupt practices, organizations may choose to adopt an ABMS to maintain an environment of trust, transparency and integrity. These can also lead to fair practices in their external market place.

Organizations certified to ISO 37001 can demonstrate that with their ABMS they can ensure business continuity of their operations and gain the confidence of their stakeholders due to their ability to combat bribery, avoid or mitigate the costs, risks and damages due to involvement in bribery.

CIP certifies organizations to ISO 37001 that successfully complete CIP’s audit process of their ABMS against the criteria of the standard.
