ISO 22301 - BUSINESS CONTINUITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
About ISO 22301
ISO 22301 is the international standard that specifies the requirements for a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS).
A BCMS provides organizations with a proactive framework to enhance their ability to respond to and recover from sudden or gradual crisis situations, such as natural disasters, pandemics, social or armed conflicts, that could disrupt their delivery of products and services. With a Plan-Do-Check-Act approach to continually improve their BCMS, organizations are guided to continue their business operations at predefined capacities following a disruption. Building up a BCMS imparts disciplines and controls that assess and improve actions to reduce or mitigate risks and strengthen overall crisis management.
Organizations certified to ISO 22301 demonstrate that they have competitive advantage with the support of a whole-of-organization system that can keep them resilient and capable of uninterrupted delivery of products and services to their customers following disruptive events.
CIP certifies organizations to ISO 22301 that successfully complete CIP’s audit process of their BCMS against the criteria of the standard.
